It was pain for Crane engineering team in Lindau to manage millions of engineering parts and be aware about inventory stock. They had to scan through hundreds of excel sheets to organize and navigate through millions of data for parts. They needed to digitally transform their legacy app and efficiently manage their inventory stock

The Start
Crane Co was using its legacy application but was unable to efficiently manage millions of engineering parts or even stay completely up-to-date about its inventory stock. They had to manage very large data with complex data structure, the front-end of the tech wasn't lending itself to upgrade, and had no automated solution for analyzing the current data they had.
We analyzed the situation and came up with a solution. The Global Application team suggested that the engineers specify several specific tasks that they would like a tool to assist with – and some specific tools would be written against their existing mature database. We started with building a single-page application to undertake tasks like single page search, advanced search, drill-down of parts & subparts, extensive dashboard with tabular and visual presentations, and data export.
We ensured that Crane Co has uniform access to up-to-date data, has uniform documents available at all levels, and enjoys the freedom of formats for data exports like Web, PDF, Excel, CSV, XML. We also offered an intuitive UI for ease in usability and visibility.
