Client Overview
IncentiaPay (ASX: INP) owns The Entertainment Group, producing Australia and New Zealand's Entertainment Membership and Frequent Values loyalty products — a platform serving 6,400+ merchants across 15,000+ locations.
They needed to modernise their platform, moving off legacy systems to a future-proof technology stack that could support continued product evolution and operational automation.
The Challenge
- Existing legacy systems lacked the flexibility needed for ongoing product development and growth.
- Legacy technology risked obsolescence, limiting the team's ability to iterate and scale the platform.
- Internal teams lacked the full capacity to execute the modernisation independently.
- Data tools and internal platform integrations were disconnected and reliant on manual processes.
- CRM migration required significant data transformation with minimal disruption to live operations.
Our Approach
1. Team augmentation, not replacement
Classic Informatics provided a team of technology experts who worked alongside IncentiaPay's in-house developers, ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer throughout the modernisation.
2. Technology-first planning
The team evaluated the existing stack and selected React, .NET, and NextJS as the core modernisation technologies — chosen for their maturity, scalability, and fit with the product roadmap.
3. Incremental migration alongside live operations
Legacy systems were migrated progressively without disrupting live products, keeping the platform operational while new technology was phased in over time.
4. Automation and integration layered in
Beyond the core migration, the team added data transformation tooling for CRM migration, automation integrations, and internal platform connections to reduce manual work across the business.
